Elijah Blue forms a neat, rounded tuft of fine, silvery-blue blades that stays attractive nearly all year. It is one of the best small grasses for edging a path, tucking between stepping stones, or adding cool color to a rock garden or container. It handles heat, wind, and lean soil with ease, and the evergreen foliage adds structure in winter when other plants are dormant. Slender, buff-colored flower plumes appear in early summer. Plant it in groups of three or five for a flowing, textured look. Each tuft arrives full and ready to plant.
